Ricoh USA Digital Imaging Services Whiteboard Illustration from Michelle Kondrich on Vimeo. Late last year I was hired by Words at Work to illustrate a whiteboard video for Ricoh USA’s Digital Imaging Services. The more of this type of work I do, the more I enjoy it. I love the storyboard process, the videoContinue Reading
Yesterday I received my copy of Volume 2 of The Mighty Pencil Book. I’ve got a spread of my illustration in the book, along with 26 other incredibly talented illustrators. The book is beautifully designed and I’m so excited to be a part of it. So much great illustration in one place. Only a limitedContinue Reading
I have a wonderful announcement to make today, which is that I am now being represented by Connie Kline at Click Representatives, a new agency based in Denver. They agency is quite new and I am the first illustrator on the roster – you can see my page on their site here. If you wouldContinue Reading
A few weeks ago I worked on a last minute advertising illustration. They ended up going in a completely different direction, but I thought I would share the illustrations that weren’t used. Below are two versions of the piece. It was intended to be a diptych, as you can see, featuring the South African PresidentContinue Reading
After creating some sexy sunscreen illustrations promoting the use of sunscreen for Dr. Tanya Kormeili, she decided that she’d like a set specifically for use during the LA Gay Pride Parade this weekend. Keeping these Kama Sutra inspired illustrations sexy but not too sexy, was challenging and fun. And remember to wear your sunscreen thisContinue Reading
A few months ago I did some small, doodle illustrations for Keystonelandia ads created by Cultivator Advertising & Design. The Art Director, Rich was a breeze to work with and the ads turned out great. They will appear locally (in Colorado) in Ski and Outside Magazines and also in Peaks Magazine in the mountains andContinue Reading

I was recently asked to create an illustration for Pietopia 2011, a once a year event where participants submit any pie recipe and 300 word written explanation about how their life tastes, in a pie. They knew they wanted a woman on horseback with a giant, steaming pie and it was so fun to work on because I had great, clear directions of what they wanted.
We went through a few variations on the steam. Below is the final image I sent over. Tricia Martin, of Eating Is Art, was a real pleasure to work with and I hope the event is a huge success!
Smart! It’s a tiny car with a giant heart!
Illustrator Gemma Randall has organized a huge group of artists and illustrators to create a book celebrating the wonderful Smart Car. This book is going to be pitched as a true ad campaign so it’s an incredible opportunity. I was fortunate enough to get involved and I just finished my piece for the book. You can read more about the project at Digital Arts Online and see some of the other pieces submitted so far. From what I’ve seen so far, I think this is going to be an amazing book featuring some very talented people. If you would like to know more and see all the pieces that have been submitted, check out the project’s blog.
