Ricoh USA Digital Imaging Services Whiteboard Illustration from Michelle Kondrich on Vimeo.   Late last year I was hired by Words at Work to illustrate a whiteboard video for Ricoh USA’s Digital Imaging Services. The more of this type of work I do, the more I enjoy it. I love the storyboard process, the videoContinue Reading

A few weeks ago I worked on a last minute advertising illustration. They ended up going in a completely different direction, but I thought I would share the illustrations that weren’t used. Keeping these Kama Sutra inspired illustrations sexy but not too sexy, was challenging and fun. And remember to wear your sunscreen thisContinue Reading

I was recently asked to create an illustration for Pietopia 2011, a once a year event where participants submit any pie recipe and 300 word written explanation about how their life tastes, in a pie. They knew they wanted a woman on horseback with a giant, steaming pie and it was so fun to work on because I had great, clear directions of what they wanted.

We went through a few variations on the steam. Below is the final image I sent over. Tricia Martin, of Eating Is Art, was a real pleasure to work with and I hope the event is a huge success!

Smart! It’s a tiny car with a giant heart!

Illustrator Gemma Randall has organized a huge group of artists and illustrators to create a book celebrating the wonderful Smart Car. This book is going to be pitched as a true ad campaign so it’s an incredible opportunity. I was fortunate enough to get involved and I just finished my piece for the book. You can read more about the project at Digital Arts Online and see some of the other pieces submitted so far. From what I’ve seen so far, I think this is going to be an amazing book featuring some very talented people. If you would like to know more and see all the pieces that have been submitted, check out the project’s blog.

This piece is also available for promotion on Society6.Continue Reading
